Just Disruptions | A Solo Show by Sungi Mlengeya | Afriart Gallery Kampala

Afriart Gallery in Kampala is thrilled to announce Sungi Mlengeya’s debut solo exhibition Just Disruptions. The exhibition will take place from 19th June – 19th August, 2021 and marks a cornerstone in the prolific career of the Tanzanian, Kampala-based artist.

Just disruptions is an invitation to look closely and intently at Sungi’s canonical works. She has developed a distinct style, striking a balance between scarcity and abundance which ruptures into a force, coursing through Sungi’s artistic choices and her point of activism, for the rightful existence and representation of women in East Africa and beyond.
