For Art Basel 2022, A Gentil Carioca is pleased to present “Fluctuation. Not only a suspended feeling but also a drifting move” with new works by our artists. Conceptually, to the booth, A Gentil Carioca incorporates the drift between the suspended works waiting for their contemplation and the completeness of the viewer’s gaze, offering an emotional delivery to a new time, still shrouded in doubt. All unite in suspension, a sigh in opposition to all gravity. This mysterious and essential feeling of observing art, always beyond its time, is fundamental. What in the future will we write about what we once were? It doesn’t matter the drift and the resistance to the lexicon. No matter the weight of matter, we are all floating.
