HOUSING is pleased to presents the works of Sofia Moreno, born on an undisclosed date in Coahuila, Mexico. She moved to the United States in 1994, first living in Texas and then moving to Chicago, where she currently lives and works. Sofia's works contends with mythologies and voyeurism, as she uses her body in relation to the mysticism of indigenous ancient culture. Sofia is a multimedia artist whose work includes expressions of the sacred and profane, the body, sexuality, religion, and socio-political issues within contemporary culture.
